By accessing or using the Service, or by purchasing a subscription or other paid features, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Tournament is a software-as-a-service platform that allows users to:

Create, manage, and publish tournaments and competitions
Collect participant registrations
Manage brackets, schedules, results, and standings
Share tournament information publicly
The Service is provided digitally and does not include physical goods.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your password
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use

3.2 Account Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

4. User Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including tournament details, team names, player information, and match results ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Championat a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

4.2 Content Guidelines

You agree NOT to submit content that:

Is illegal, harmful, or offensive
Infringes on intellectual property rights
Contains false or misleading information
Impersonates another person or entity
Contains malicious code or links

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree NOT to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
Collect user information without consent
Use the Service for spam or unsolicited communications

6. Tournament Management

6.1 Tournament Organizer Responsibilities

As a tournament organizer, you are responsible for:

Ensuring your tournament complies with all applicable rules and regulations
Managing participant registrations appropriately
Recording accurate match results
Communicating with participants in a timely manner

6.2 Public Tournaments

Tournaments may be shared publicly via a unique link. You acknowledge that public tournament information will be accessible to anyone with the link.

7. Payments, Subscriptions & Refund Policy

7.1 Pricing

We offer various pricing plans for the Service, including Event Passes and League Plans. Current pricing is available on our website and may be updated from time to time.

7.2 Billing

For subscription plans, your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

7.3 Refund Policy

You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase for any Event Pass or Subscription plan. To request a refund, contact us at support@championat.io with your account email. We will process eligible refunds within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.

7.4 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until that time.

7.5 Chargebacks

If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are committed to resolving billing issues quickly and fairly.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Supplier and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Supplier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
